He’s back. The Coronavirus has changed the way the wrestling world works with a variety of problems taking place. One of the biggest changes has been the amount of times that international stars have been away from WWE’s American shows and that has been the case for a long time to come. Travel restrictions have made international appearances rather difficult, but things are improving. That was on display this week.
NXT UK has become one of the stronger television shows under the WWE banner and it has been that way for a long time now. The roster is one of its greatest strength as the promotion has some outstanding stars regularly appearing. Above them all though is the United Kingdom Champion, who has dominated the title scene for more than a year. Now he is back stateside and it is getting interesting.
This is going to hurt. Check out who is back in NXT:
United Kingdom Champion Walter returned to NXT for the first time in over a year this week, appearing to help his Imperium teammates attack Tommaso Ciampa after Ciampa had defeated Marcel Barthel. Walter attacked Ciampa and laid him out with a powerbomb. There is no word on how frequently Walter will be appearing and no match was announced for him.
Opinion: Walter is one of the most interesting and impressive members of the WWE roster and it is great to see him on the bigger stage. He has made it clear that he does not want to move to America so these cameos are about all we have to go with at the moment. That is not the worst thing though, as Walter’s appearances are very special and a potential match against Ciampa should work very well.
