Maybe security should stay out of the way. Wrestling is a contact sport and a lot of the time that contact is a little more intense than others. This can include wrestlers, announcers and managers getting taken out in the process. At the same time though, what about the people who get caught in the crossfire? There are people whose job it is to break up these skirmishes and a lot of the time they get taken out as well. That deserves some attention.
CM Punk was right. Security around here does suck.
WWE has posted a new Top Ten video looking at Security Guards Getting Wrecked. The video came about due to Ronda Rousey attacking the Bella Twins’ security earlier this week on Monday Night Raw and includes a wide variety of such a thing taking place. This is more of a modern situation with the majority of the entries coming in the last few years. Most of them are from WWE though one other promotion is included.
Opinion: These brawls rarely mean much but it’s nice to see WWE at least pretending to have some realism in there. The security guards are just warm bodies to be beaten up and that’s not the worst group of people to have around. If nothing else, it’s often fun to see if there are independent wrestlers filling in the roles, as their cameos can be the most entertaining part of such segments.
