Guess who. One of the best stories that you can get in wrestling is a mystery attacker. It might be someone you see or it might be someone who is left laying with the attack not being seen. This opens the question of who did it, but more importantly it leads to the moment with the reveal. That’s what makes it even better and WWE knows how to do these quite well.
And these are some great ones.
WWE has posted a new video to its Instagram page, looking at the Top Five Mystery Attacker reveals in history. These are mostly from modern times with one of them coming last month. The oldest goes back to the late 1990s and is one of the more famous reveals of all time. The list is likely being released in honor of Johnny Gargano being revealed as Aleister Black’s attacker.
Opinion: These are all quite good and that makes for some good viewing. The best part about these reveals are the actual shock, which was the case in some of these choices. At the same time, there is something to be said about having an obvious attacker and getting to the reveal. You can go either way and still have something interesting. This has been done for years and it is always going to work.
Which of these is your favorite? What did WWE leave off the list? Let us know in the comments below.
