MAYBE! We’re in a new period for WWE and that means it’s time to shake things up a bit. With less than three months to go before “Wrestlemania XXXIV”, it might be time to do things a little bit differently and see where they can go. That would tend to be the calling card of “Smackdown Live” and it’s what they’re doing again this week.

As announced in a video on Daniel Bryan’s Twitter, there will be a superstar ranking system taking effect on “Smackdown Live”. While the details of what it will be used for aren’t exactly clear, the ranking will be tallied by a superstar vote, though they can’t vote for themselves and neither Bryan nor Shane McMahon will have a vote. Here’s the video announcement:

Opinion: I’m not wild on these ranking systems as they don’t have the best track record of being interesting. It’s a little too formal for a wrestling angle and that’s not a good thing most of the time. Maybe this one will be different, but there’s always a chance that it’s not going to last very long anyway.
