And so it begins. It’s November, which of course means it’s time for the Survivor Series. In this case the show is going to be a repeat of last year’s “Monday Night Raw” vs. “Smackdown Live” in a battle for brand supremacy. You know that means some surprise appearances and they got started this week.
At the end of this week’s episode of “Monday Night Raw”, General Manager Kurt Angle was about to announce the lineup for his team’s elimination match at the pay per view. However, “Smackdown Live” General Manager Shane McMahon appeared, flanked by his show’s roster. The blue team then ran through the locker room, attacking every “Raw” star they could find. Here’s a video of the invasion.
Monday Night Raw falls under siege when SmackDown LIVE launches surprise attack: Raw, Oct. 23, 2017
Opinion: I liked the segment for the most part and for once the annual invasion story seems interesting. It’s not going to last beyond the pay per view but there’s nothing wrong with that. Hopefully we get more things like this and this a great payoff in November, though there’s always a good chance that WWE could screw this up.
