Video: The Rock Gets More Specific About Running For President

That sounds like a platform to me. To say the Rock is a major movie star is an understatement. There’s a good case to be made that he’s the biggest movie star in the world, making him a genuine A-list celebrity. With such celebrity status comes various other expectations and opportunities, which can often mean putting someone in a spot they might not be ready for. In Rock’s case, it was for the biggest opportunity of them all.

Shockingly enough, Rock had something to say about this.

The Rock recently appeared on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert to talk about the potential of making a run for the Presidency of the United States. Rock said that the original story was more of a “what if” scenario but then he started to think about it. Before he would actually run for the office though, Rock said he needed more experience in the political arena, meaning nothing would be happening until either 2024 or 2028.

Opinion: If the most recent Presidential election taught us one thing, it’s to never say never in politics. I can’t actually imagine Rock running for the office as he’s too big of a star already and has never shown any actual interest in running for political office before, but somehow it’s a possibility. It would certainly be something that would make the wrestling world look a bit more important, there might be a few more consequences than just that.
