The first blow. We’re just over three weeks away from AEW’s debut event Double Or Nothing, which means it’s time for the final hype to take place. The expectations for this show are already through the roof and that means things need to work as well as possible. The card is already looking good, but a little last minute work can’t hurt things, which was the idea going into the weekend.
On Friday night, Chris Jericho appeared at a Southern Honor Wrestling event in Georgia. During his appearance, Kenny Omega interfered and attacked Jericho as part of the setup for their upcoming match at Double Or Nothing. Their feud is one of the biggest on the show and comes after a match at Wrestle Kingdom 12 and an attack at All In, both of which took place last year.
You never know what you’ll see at these shows. Check out Omega’s surprise appearance:
Opinion: This is quite the moment and the kind of thing that is likely to get some attention from the company’s fanbase, which is already more than fired up for the show. If nothing else, it’s cool to see something like this happen at such a smaller show because it gives indy wrestling a cool feeling. Who would have expected to see such a big guest star like this at a small show in Georgia?
