VIDEO: Injured WWE Superstar Returns Following Nine Month Absence

Welcome back. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to leave television and some of them can leave them out of the ring for a very long time. Those are the things that can lead to quite the return, which can come in many different forms. We got to see a return this week, as a long injured star returned to WWE TV, albeit in a different role than when she left.

This week’s Monday Night Raw featured the return of Sonya Deville, who appeared in a backstage segment with Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler. Deville said that she had something to talk to them about, though Baszler turned her down. Stark and Baszler went on to win a four way tag team match to earn a future Women’s Tag Team Title shot. Baszler has been out of action since August 2023 with a knee injury. It is not clear when she will be able to return to the ring.

Opinion: That is great to see, as Deville has been out of action for a very long time now and it will be nice to have her back in some kind of a role. Right now it seems like she is looking for someone to get behind and that could make for a nice pairing whenever she finds someone, assuming that is the case. For now, we should be in for a good story, as Deville is a versatile star.
