King > Maharajah. One of the big stories of the year has been the rise of Jinder Mahal. Starting the year as a next to nothing lower card wrestler, Mahal rocketed up the card to the Smackdown World Title, taking down some big names in the process. This was all building towards his match in India, which seemed to be a big layup. The match has now taken place and it was a bit of a surprise.

WWE has released a highlight package of their match, which includes a few moments of the action but a longer clip of the post match action. Following his defeat of Mahal, Triple H talked about how India was in good hands with Mahal for the future. The Singh Brothers also joined the two in the ring for some dancing. Here’s the highlight video:

Triple H, Jinder Mahal engage in a classic Supershow showdown

Opinion: If this gets us closer to the end of Mahal’s run on top, so be it. I’m not sure if Triple H really needed to go over here but I’m not big on Mahal in the first place. This really does seem like a way to put him down for good and really, I can live with that in the long run. Maybe have someone other than Triple H do it, but get Mahal out of this spot already.
