WOO! Colonel! WOO! Sanders! WOO! Rumble! One of WWE’s biggest sponsors is Kentucky Fried Chicken, which of course has the famous mascot of Colonel Sanders. Last year, WWE produced some ads with Dolph Ziggler as Sanders battling the Miz, who was dressed as a chicken. Since then, other WWE stars have portrayed Sanders, leading to a bizarre ad at the “2018 Royal Rumble”.

The new advertisement was a Royal Rumble of wrestlers dressed as Colonel Sanders where the winner would be the next Sanders. The match included Dolph Ziggler, the Miz, Goldust, Tyler Breeze and more, including the winner, who reenacted the ending to a previous Royal Rumble. Here’s the full segment:

Opinion: This is one of those things that might sound bizarre on paper until you see it actually happen. Then you know that it’s incredibly odd but also charming. The ending made it even better and ties it into the Royal Rumble. These ads are a lot of fun and WWE keeps them over the top, which is probably why they keep such a big sponsorship.
