That’s a bad one. Injuries can pile up in wrestling in a hurry and there are some that are hard to avoid. These are the kinds that can happen during a match or something physical, though the injuries are there no matter how they took place. That appears to be the case again with one of the biggest stars in WWE and now he has commented on just how bad things are.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Oh Dear: Reason Why Austin Theory Missed SmackDown (That Doesn’t Sound Good)

WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defeated Solo Sikoa in the main event of this week’s SmackDown when Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa interfered. Following the match, Jacob Fatu debuted and splashed Rhodes through the announcers’ table. During a live event over the weekend in Bloomington, Indiana, Rhodes revealed that he suffered two broken ribs on SmackDown but is refusing to take any time off. It is not clear when Rhodes’ ribs were broken during the show.

It was a fired up speech. Check out Rhodes’ announcement, plus what happened to him on Friday:

Opinion: That is a nasty injury to have and thankfully Rhodes seems like he will be sticking around for the time being. It is the kind of thing that he would do as taking time off does not seem to be in his nature. That is what Rhodes had talked about on his way to the title and now that he is finally there, we are getting to see him back it up. Odds are the Bloodline will have to deal with this and that makes things all the more interesting.
