There’s the next one. The main event of WrestleMania 39 saw Cody Rhodes come up short against Roman Reigns. The match was built up for several months after Rhodes won the Royal Rumble, earning the title shot. Now that he has lost though, it is time to start back at square one. WWE seems to have done that this week, as Rhodes has an all new problem to worry about.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Rhodes requested a rematch with Reigns. Instead he had to settle for a tag match, with Reigns insisting that Rhodes’ partner had wrestled at WrestleMania and would never get another title shot against Reigns. Brock Lesnar appeared, but when the match was set to start, Lesnar attacked Rhodes with several F5’s. There is no word on when a match between the two is expected.

Opinion: This feels like a feud designed to get Rhodes back on track after WrestleMania. That being said, the problem is it is back to back nights of Rhodes being taken out to end the show. Maybe WWE has a plan to get Rhodes entirely back on track, but it could be quite the disaster for everything that Rhodes has been built up to be over the last several months.
