There it is. WWE has been the dominant wrestling promotion in the world for decades, with no promotion coming anywhere near its level. The company has become such a juggernaut that it promoted along other major sports, is traded on the New York Stock Exchange and airs weekly on FOX. It would mean something if the company underwent a major change and now it has undergone the biggest change of all.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It’s Over: What Happened After WrestleMania 39 Went Off The Air

Over the weekend, news broke that Endeavor, the parent company of UFC, was near a deal to purchase WWE from Vince McMahon. As of Monday morning, Endeavor has announced that the deal is complete. As a result, WWE and UFC will merge together to form a new company valued at $21 billion and owned by Endeavor. Vince McMahon will be the Executive Chairman of the Board while Mark Shapiro will be the President of the new company, whose name has yet to be announced. Endeavor will own 51% of the new company while WWE stockholders will own 49%. There is no word on when Endeavor will officially take over or what changes this will make for WWE.

There have been some sales in WWE history. Check out some of the better ones:

Opinion: I never thought I would see he day but here we are. WWE now has a new owner and everything is going to change. I’m not sure what that is going to mean, but at the end of the day, this is a total game changer and there is no telling how it is going to go. There is a real chance that Endeavor will leave WWE alone, but it is hard to imagine that something won’t be shaken up. Now we get to wait and see, because this is fully uncharted water.
