Is it a bad dream? Over the last few years, few superstars have risen faster than the Velveteen Dream. He’s gone from what felt like a joke of a talent to a heck of a performer and one of the most popular heroes in NXT. His work has been incredible and he has more charisma than he knows what to do with, but there might be a bit of a roadblock on his path towards the top of NXT.
According to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com by way of NoDQ.com, Velveteen Dream may be in trouble over a recent string of tweets that he sent out and then deleted, where he complained about not being called up to the main roster yet. Velveteen Dream has tweeted some controversial statements and since deleted them before so it is likely the subject that got him in trouble this time. It hasn’t been limited to Twitter either, as Velveteen Dream wore tights at Takeover: Brooklyn IV that said “CALL ME UP VINCE!”.
Dig those tights! Oh and check out a good match:
Opinion: I’m not sure about this one as the idea of being called up to the main roster has been treated as the holy grail of NXT both on the regular television shows and on the NXT reality show from a few years ago. Even if he’s in trouble over something like this, I can’t imagine it being anything that is actually serious. Velveteen Dream is a big star in NXT and I don’t think he’s going to get in trouble over anything like this.
