What’s on tap? We’re less than two weeks away from “Takeover: Chicago” and a lot of the card wasn’t set coming into this week. However, as is usually the case on “NXT”, they still managed to set up the show in a very short amount of time. More often than not, a Takeover card will have close to five matches and the upcoming show now has four.

This week’s episode of “NXT” added three matches to the card and adjusted another one. Now all three NXT title matches are set up and a bonus match is already set. While we’ll likely have a final match added next week, the majority of the card has already been set. Here’s the updated card:

NXT Title: Bobby Roode(c) vs. Hideo Itami
NXT Tag Team Titles: Authors of Pain(c) vs. DIY – Ladder match
NXT Women’s Title: Ember Moon(c) vs. Ruby Riot vs. Nikki Cross
United Kingdom Championship: Tyler Bate(c) vs. Pete Dunne

Opinion: I’m not sure what else they can add for the show as there are so many names that need to make the card but aren’t likely to do so. I’d throw on a four way between Aleister Black, Drew McIntyre, Kassius Ohno and Roderick Strong for the #1 contendership as all four need to be on the card and there’s a good chance Itami vs. Roode is a one off match.

Hideo Itami vs. Roderick Strong - NXT Championship No. 1 Contender's Match: WWE NXT, May 10, 2017
