That’s an important point. There are all kinds of changes taking place in WWE at the moment and there is no way of telling how many more will take place before things settle down. It makes for an interesting set of circumstances as fans wait to see how things go, including with WWE television. Now we have a bit more information about what could be a huge change.

Next October, both NXT (CW) and SmackDown (USA) will be moving to new television homes. Monday Night Raw will be as well, though it is not clear where the show will be moving. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, a deal with Warner Brothers Discovery, which currently offers AEW programming, is still “absolutely in play”.
WWE is still the biggest promotion in the industry and that offers benefits to a television partner, but it might not be enough to outweigh the costs of acquiring the programming. There is nothing to suggest that a deal is imminent as other networks and streaming services are still in the running to land Monday Night Raw.

Opinion: This would be a game changer for the wrestling industry, including both WWE and AEW, though there is a long way to go before we actually get to something being finalized. The fact that WWE has this many suitors shows that they are doing something right, though I’m rather interested in seeing where things go for both WWE and AEW, as it could be quite the shakeup.
