Roadblock? Mercedes Mone Reportedly Has Very High Asking Price, Wants More Than Top WWE Star

All about the Mone? Wrestling is reaching heights that were never before believed possible and it is quite the impressive feat. As a result, wrestlers have become incredibly big stars, which allows them to have quite the successful careers. This comes with even more money, as some wrestlers are able to command quite a bit. Now a free agent is doing just that, but the question is who will accept the terms.

Earlier this week, a new report revealed that Mercedes Mone was officially a free agent, allowing her to sign with anyone she chose. According to Fightful, Mone’s current asking price for a contract is more than Charlotte recently signed for with WWE, which is believed to be one of the highest contracts for a woman in WWE history. There is no word on where Mone will sign next, though her plans with AEW are said to no longer be active. It is not clear why those talks stopped and her asking price may not be the case.

Opinion: That is quite the game changer and while I’m sure there are some promotions who are going to be able to afford Mone, I’m not sure how many will be willing to. Hopefully Mone gets to go somewhere as she is far too talented to be sitting on the sidelines. This is something that she has earned the right to do and it is great to see her getting this kind of control.
