Keep them coming. There are certain rivalries that you know feel special. Something about watching two people get in the ring against one another feels like something that much bigger and it is always worth seeing. Such feuds are rare, but you certainly know one of them when you see it. That will be the case again soon, though it might not even be the only one.
Last week on SmackDown, Brock Lesnar was announced as the new #1 contender to the Universal Title, with his title shot against Roman Reigns set for Day 1. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the match is set to be part of a multi match series between the two and is not meant to be the final match between the two. Reigns and Lesnar have met several times, including in October at Crown Jewel with Reigns retaining the title.
These two have been at it a few times. Check out what they have done before:
Opinion: I don’t think this is quite the surprise, as these two have seemed welded together at the hip for a long time. There are only so many people who can give either of them a real challenge so this is about as logical of a way as they can go. Reigns has not had a serious challenge for the title in a long time and Lesnar is a different kind of monster, so you might be seeing these two fight for a good while.
What do you think of the match? Who leaves with the title? Let us know in the comments below.
