It’s a process. There have been a lot of things going on in the wrestling world over the course of the year and some of them have been more positive than others. One of the biggest stories was the brawl after the AEW All Out media scrum, which left several wrestlers suspended from the company. The bigger names are still missing, but we do now have an update on one of them.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the investigation into the backstage brawl is still ongoing. The reason for the investigation taking so long is due to one of the people involved threatening some sort of legal action, but it is not clear who is threatening whom with what kind of action. No one involved in the situation has been released from the company and it is not clear if anyone will.
Opinion: This is a strange situation and I’m not sure where the whole thing is going to wind up. At the end of the day, it was a terrible situation and a huge mess for AEW, but now the question becomes what happens to everyone involved. It would be nice if everyone can come back, but from where we stand right now, I’m not sure if that is going to be a possibility.
