That’s another former winner in. We’re getting closer to the Royal Rumble and coming into Monday Night Raw tonight, nine of the ten spots had already been filled. In something that will change, eight of those had been “Monday Night Raw” performers. Oddly enough, the second “Smackdown Live” name joined the match on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
Earlier tonight, Undertaker interrupted a Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley discussion to say that he goes wherever he wants and answers to no one (directed at McMahon). He’s dug 29 holes for 29 souls and no one is going to stop him from winning the Royal Rumble and going on to the main event of WrestleMania 33 to win the World Title. This is the second entrant of the day as Seth Rollins announced his spot in the match earlier today.
I don’t know if it’s one specific thing but there’s something about the Undertaker that made this so cool. Maybe it’s the music, maybe it’s how he lets things build or maybe it’s standing up to McMahon but this segment worked so well. Undertaker is the kind of person you need in the Royal Rumble because even if he doesn’t win, we’re going to find out what he’s doing at the biggest show of the year and that’s what matters.
