I hope it’s a bruise…..er…..wait…..One of the most popular rivalries of the year has been Pete Dunne vs. Tyler Bate. The two young Englishmen have stolen two shows they’ve appeared on so far and had a Match of the Year candidate in Chicago. They don’t appear on WWE TV very often and now it might be a bit longer for one of them.
According to Prowrestlingsheet.com, Dunne was pulled from a Progress Wrestling event due to an injury he suffered at a recent Battle Club Pro event. Dunne received a cut to his temple which required eleven stitches to close, though he was still able to attend the show in a non-wrestling capacity. He had been scheduled to defend the United Kingdom Title against Jack Gallagher.
Don’t remember Dunne? Here’s part of his classic against Bate from “Takeover: Chicago”.

Opinion: These things happen from time to time and there’s not much of a way around it. Hopefully he’s back in the ring soon and the fans get to see just how talented he really is. I’m not sure when he’s scheduled to come back to WWE but the fact that the UK Title is getting to be defended outside WWE is quite the coup for these wrestlers as just the letters alone mean a lot.
Do you think Dunne will ever show up full time in WWE? Do you want him to? Let us know in the comments below.
