Shouldn’t that be a guarantee for a champion? Tyler Bate burst onto the wrestling scene back in January by becoming the WWE United Kingdom Championship. Bate’s win set a record as he was the youngest champion in company history at only nineteen years old. While he’s a champion, there’s something special that he hasn’t done yet.
Bate recently appeared on the “Buzzards Wrestling Podcast” and revealed that he hasn’t actually met Vince McMahon, other than passing him in a hall at “Royal Rumble 2017”.
Bate has appeared on two episodes of “NXT” since winning the title but hasn’t been on a main roster show. It isn’t clear when he’ll be with the company full time as he still makes indy appearances around the UK and Europe, as well as a few in America.
Opinion: While I’m sure McMahon is a busy man, you would think that he would meet a champion at some point around the time that the person had won a title. Bate really is impressive given that he’s just started and isn’t even twenty years old yet. That’s not the kind of record you see and I can’t imagine anyone else doing anything like that for a long time.
