History repeats itself. Survivor Series has been around for nearly thirty years now and while things have evolved a bit over the years, one thing that still remains is the elimination tag matches. The idea of taking two teams and fighting until only one team is left is a time honored tradition and it’s going to be back again this year.
As announced this week on “Monday Night Raw”, there will be both a women’s elimination tag and a men’s elimination tag taking place this year at “Survivor Series 2017”. These matches are in addition to the four champion vs. champion matches already announced. There are no participants named yet.
Here’s how the announcement was made.
Kurt Angle announces a slew of Raw vs. SmackDown matches for WWE Survivor Series: Raw, Oct. 23, 2017
Opinion: Survivor Series is always one of my favorite shows of the year and this is the kind of match that makes it feel that big. Just having all these people in one match makes it seem important and that’s a lot more than you can say about so many pay per views. Hopefully they pull the formula off though as these things can get boring in a hurry if they’re done wrong.
Which match are you looking forward to most? Who do you think will captain each team? Let us know in the comments below.
