Keep on growing. WWE is the biggest and most powerful wrestling company in the world but there are always other places to go. While the company has fans around the world, it continues to try and expand even further. Having a live event in another country can go a long way, but what about having its own promotion? WWE is reportedly still working on doing just that.

In September 2022, NXT UK officially shut down, with several of its wrestlers being released while a few transferred to the regular NXT. This was followed by reports that WWE would launch NXT Europe in early 2023, but the project has yet to debut. NXT executive Shawn Michaels was promoting this weekend’s NXT Deadline event on Thursday and was asked about NXT Europe. Michaels said that NXT Europe was still in the works but did not give any details on when it could launch. There is no word on whether this would be a regular show or another Performance Center etc.

Opinion: At this point, NXT Europe is starting to seem like something of an “I’ll believe it when I see it” situation, as WWE has said almost the same thing about the idea for the last year. It’s an interesting idea, but at the end of the day, there is only so much that can be done with nothing being announced and no indication that anything is actually moving forward with the project.
