Out of many, one. There are certain wrestlers who have been around the industry for so long that it is hard to imagine them being gone, even if they have not wrestled in a long time. Legends like that are often revered for the work they have done in their careers, but it can be fascinating to hear what they think of their own work. That is what we are getting to hear again from a wrestling legend.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Not There: Details On Why NXT Moved The October 8 Show

During a recent interview with Wrestling Life Online, WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley said that his match with Randy Orton at Backlash 2004 was his favorite match of his career. Foley spoke about how he saw potential in Orton and wanted to help bring it out, as Sting had done with him in 1991. Foley lost to Orton in an anything goes match, ending the feud that the two had begun dating back to late 2003.

It was something special. Check out how the match was set up and a special retrospective:

Opinion: There are times when you are watching a match and know that you are seeing something special. That was the case with this match and it makes sense that Foley thinks so highly of it twenty years later. The match did go a long way towards making Orton into more of a top star and he would go on to win his first World Title just a few months later. Foley helped move that along and that is rather impressive.
