Here’s a five point recap of the major stories from tonight’s show. These are in a rough order of importance, which of course is subject to some opinion. Some of these are just results and some of them are major storyline developments, many of which could lead to something bigger in the future.
1. “Monday Night Raw” won the overall series 4-3 with the final win coming in the men’s elimination match.
2. Triple H turned on Kurt Angle, allowing Shane McMahon to pin Angle, only to finish McMahon seconds later. After the match, Braun Strowman attacked Triple H for not including him in this plan.
3. Brock Lesnar defeated AJ Styles in a champion vs. champion match.
4. Asuka was the sole survivor, eliminating three of her five opponents.
5. Shield defeated New Day in a six man tag with a super TripleBomb.

Opinion: I wasn’t wild on the ending of the show or the way the women’s elimination match went but you can’t say the show was boring. A lot of the lower card matches were very entertaining and they set some stuff up for later in the year. Hopefully they can pick things up going forward though as tonight wasn’t their best effort.
