They’re not wasting time. Money In The Bank has become one of the most important shows of the year for WWE and it isn’t a surprise. The show features a pair of matches that can allow nearly guaranteed title changes at some point down the line, making the show’s namesake matches very important for anyone involved. That was the case again this year and things were off to a hot start.
WWE held its annual Money In The Bank event this weekend with both a men’s and women’s Money In The Bank ladder match included. First up, Liv Morgan won the women’s edition and cashed in her briefcase on Ronda Rousey later in the night to win the SmackDown Women’s Title. In the show’s main event, Theory won the men’s edition, despite not being entered in the match coming into the show. WWE official Adam Pearce came out before the match and announced that Theory was included.
Opinion: It was certainly an eventful night and it is fun to see the briefcase cashed in on the night of the show. I like the idea of getting rid of the briefcases as fast as possible, though I don’t know how far everything is going to go with Theory. It is hard to imagine him cashing in the briefcase anytime soon, if nothing else because Roman Reigns is almost never around. That being said, this was quite the night for some younger stars and that is a good thing.
What do you think of the changes? How far will either of them go? Let us know in the comments below.
