Who are you again? One of the most interesting things about “NXT” is watching the new talent come in and get their fresh starts. This often means a lot of new names coming in as top “NXT” talent is called up to the main roster. Included in this process is finding out the new names these wrestlers will be performing under. After last night’s tapings, we have a new name announced.
According to 411mania.com, last night at the tapings,
Lovelace debuted under the new name Ruby Riot. The taping also saw her get involved with a story with Sanity as she has formed an alliance with Roderick Strong and Tye Dillinger to fight off the group. This would suggest that Lovelace is going to be feuding with Nikki Cross going forward. You can read the
full spoilers here.
Opinion: I like it. The name might be a bit cheesy and doesn’t exactly come off as the most serious thing in the world but then again, neither does Heidi Lovelace. I kind of like the idea of a more gimmicky name than trying (and failing) to sound like you pulled something out of a phone book.
