The smack is back. The WWE’s ratings and audience have been all over the place this year with seemingly no particular rhyme or reason. Some weeks they’re up and some weeks they’re down, which is why this week’s numbers could very well be a surprise. The show was coming off its invasion of “Monday Night Raw” and there was a good chance for a trong showing.
According to 411mania.com, this week’s episode of “Smackdown Live” drew a .81 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.699 million viewers. These numbers are up 11% from last week’s .73 rating and 16% from last week’s 2.32 million viewers. The show was headlined by a Survivor Series qualifying match between Randy Orton and Sami Zayn. It was also up against game one of the World Series.

Opinion: That’s a good sign as we head towards the pay per view. While there was no major development on the to angle, it’s clear that the fans are interested in what’s going on. It’s a big story and the fans are buying into it, which is a lot more than can be said about most top feuds.
