And there they go again. To say the WWE’s TV ratings have been bad as of late is a horrible understatement as it seems they’re hitting new lows for the year every single week. It’s the case with both “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown Live” but this week’s red show was a little better than last week’s taped show. Was that the case with the blue counterpart?

Actually no, as the live edition managed to go even lower. According to Showbuzz Daily, this week’s “Smackdown Live” drew a .68 rating and 2.175 million viewers, down 8% and 7% from last week’s respective numbers. The show had two major matches announced including AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal and Baron Corbin vs. Randy Orton in a non-title match.

Opinion: What the heck were they expecting? I know Mahal is being pushed for the Indian market but American (and international) fans are going to see him as someone who was just another jobber to the stars for years. Couple that with no World Champion on “Monday Night Raw” and the same Roman Reigns that hasn’t worked before and there’s no real surprise that the ratings are this low.
