The Shield Likely Done in WWE

And that’s about it for them. The Shield is one of the most dominating factions of all time. All three were World Champions at one point (once all in the same night at “Money in the Bank 2016”) and has one of the strongest fan bases you’re going to see no matter what the trio is doing. They were put back together late last year after several years apart, but a long string of injuries and problems might have already brought the team to its second end.

If they’re gone, at least they came back in a great way.
 
 

The Shield reunite: Raw, Oct. 9, 2017

According to stillrealtous.com, WWE is producing a new DVD on the group, with the title “The Rise and Fall of the Shield”. This new set looks at their careers since the team’s original split and the title would suggest that the group’s latest run is over. The trio wasn’t able to team together often in their second run due to Roman Reigns being out of the ring due to illness and then Dean Ambrose injuring his arm and putting him on the shelf indefinitely.

Remember how they got back together? It’s worth a look.

Opinion: Well so much for that. This Shield reunion seemed cursed from the start and my goodness it was hard to see it go down in flames that fast. The trio’s reunion should have been a great thing but it was one road block after another. The reunion didn’t need to happen to keep the guys over, but at least the company was going to try it one more time, just in case some of the magic could still be there. I was interested in seeing where it could be going, but at the same time the trio is going to be just fine on their own. It’s not like they don’t have their own awesome singles careers to rely on. Oh well, maybe another time.
