What’s Bulgarian for “guess who’s back”? Rusev was one of the biggest names to shift in the Superstar Shakeup but it just so happens that he’s out with an injury. He hasn’t made an appearance on “Smackdown Live” just yet but that doesn’t mean we haven’t heard from him. Rusev appeared in a video two weeks back, demanding a Smackdown World Title shot before he would appear on the show. Now we have an update.
This week on “Smackdown Live” Rusev released another video, stating that he has heard nothing from the show’s bosses in regards to his demands. However, he’ll be appearing on next week’s show to get an update on his demands. Rusev hasn’t wrestled a match since “Fastlane 2017” when he was defeated by Big Show.
Opinion: This should only lead to good things for “Smackdown Live” as they certainly could use some top level heels. Rusev is the kind of guy who could go straight to the main event scene without blinking an eye. It’s not hard to imagine Rusev being the next challenger for Randy Orton, assuming he retains against Jinder Mahal, and that’s a very good thing.
Rusev is demanding answers next week: SmackDown LIVE, May 9, 2017
Do you think Rusev will get a World Title shot in the near future? Can you picture him as the champ? Let us know in the comments below.
