Another name on the list. One of the things that WWE is known for is piling up on talent. They’ll seemingly sign anyone from anywhere at any time and that’s not the worst thing in the world. WWE is capable of picking up almost any talent they want and it offers a lot of options on both the main roster and in NXT. It seems they might have a new target in sight.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of Wrestlinginc.com, WWE is expected to sign indy star Fred Yehi. A star on the independent circuit, Yehi is a former Evolve Tag Team Champion and FIP World Champion who lost a Cruiserweight Classic qualifying match to TJ Perkins. There is no word on when Yehi would make his WWE debut, assuming he signs.
Here’s Yehi in action.

Opinion: Yehi is a name that is rather familiar to those who follow the indy scene and that’s a great place to pick up talent. There’s a nice mixture of established names and talents who can be molded. WWE obviously saw something in Yehi to have him as a qualifying opponent for one of their featured names and there’s a good chance he could be a big name in NXT or beyond.
Are you familiar with Yehi? Who would you like to see signed to WWE next? Let us know in the comments below.
