Hold on tight. For some reason, the WWE doesn’t have very many roster changes. It’s pretty rare to see Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live talent change shows as for some reason, these changes take place almost exclusively at the Superstar Shakeup. Those events only take place once a year, or at least that has been the case since they debuted. At least, so far.
According to Joe Peisich on the No Holds Barred podcast by way of Ringsidenews.com, there is a possibility of another Superstar Shakeup taking place later this year, possibly in November. There is currently no confirmation of another one taking place from WWE, which has only held the Shakeups the week after WrestleMania so far. The most recent took place earlier this year and saw superstars change from Monday Night Raw to SmackDown Live and vice versa.
Here’s how things went in this year’s edition.
Opinion: To be fair, WWE could probably use something like this at this point but really, it would be a lot better to do one of these a year in the fall. I’ve never cared about the idea of having it just a week or so after WrestleMania, which makes the Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live after WrestleMania feel a lot less important. Let things build up a bit and then change it around right before we start the build for next year’s WrestleMania.
