So much for that. Earlier this year, the Four Horsewomen of mixed martial arts appeared at the “Mae Young Classic” in a backstage segment. Three of the four of them confronted some WWE stars and challenged them to a match, anyplace anytime. In theory that place would be New Orleans at “Wrestlemania XXXIV” but things might have changed in the meantime.

According to the “Wrestling Observer Newsletter” by way of stillrealtous.com, two of the Four Horsewomen (Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir) are no longer training for professional wrestling. In theory, this means that the two of them would not be involved in a match at “Wrestlemania XXXIV”, though Shayna Baszler is set to debut on “NXT” and Ronda Rousey seems to be a lock to wrestle at some point in the future.

Here’s the initial challenge.

Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch & Bayley confront Ronda Rousey, M.Shafir & J. Duke: Sept. 5, 2017

Opinion: Really, the idea of the Four Horsewomen was cool but Rousey is the big prize of this whole idea. As long as they get her out of this, there’s something of value to the whole thing. Baszler has been a nice surprise and they gave her a great run in the tournament but really, she’s just nowhere close to Rousey’s level.

Do you think Rousey will wrestle for WWE? If so, who should she face? Let us know in the comments below.
