It would make things a little more complicated. This year’s WrestleMania is going to be long. Like, ridiculously long if everything rumored is included. There is a chance that we could be seeing a seventeen card show, including the Kickoff Show. That could stretch all the way to an eighth hour and that is quite the night of wrestling. As it turns out, some of those matches might not be taking place.
According to Ringsidenews.com, WWE may not be running the Andre the Giant Memorial and WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royals this year. With a total of four television shows before the event, there has been no word on the battle royals with no one announcing their entrance into the matches. There is still the chance that WWE could make the matches in a hurry, but at the moment there is no indication that they are going to happen. The Andre the Giant Battle Royal has taken place during the last four years while the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal debuted last year.
This is how one of those things goes. Check out last year’s WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal:
Opinion: Honestly, this is some of the best news that could happen. With potentially seventeen matches, it was clear that something needed to be cut. Getting rid of these matches allow some more matches to be added to the Kickoff Show, allowing the main card to have a little bit more to breathe. That’s definitely needed for this year and hopefully this is the case.
