They’re keeping it in the house this year. The Hall of Fame ceremony is one of the most interesting parts of WrestleMania weekend. It’s a rare chance for the wrestlers to be more themselves and not be in character all the time as they gather together to celebrate various legends. There is one non-wrestling award given out though and now we know this year’s recipient.

WWE has officially announced that longtime employee Sue Aitchison will receive the 2019 Warrior Award at the Hall of Fame ceremony. Aitchison has worked for the company for over thirty years and is best known for establishing the company’s relationships with charities such as Make-A-Wish. This is the fifth year that the award has been given out, with previous winners mainly focusing on cancer survivors. Dana Warrior will present her with the award at the Hall of Fame ceremony on April 6.

Here’s where it all got started. Check out the original award’s announcement:

Opinion: This is interesting as it’s more towards what the Ultimate Warrior originally wanted for the award. While the award has mainly been for cancer patients over the years, the original plan was to honor someone who worked behind the scenes for WWE. I could go for something like that, though I also understand WWE going with the cancer path though, as it honors a group of people who deserve the attention as well.
