There goes another one. Over the last few weeks, one of the biggest stories in wrestling has been wrestlers requesting their releases from WWE. With the stories of the Kanellis family and the Revival wanting out of the company (not to mention Dean Ambrose’s departure), it’s a very interesting time to see how things are going in WWE. As it turns out, we have another name on the list.
According to Fightful.com, Hideo Itami has requested and been granted his release from WWE, albeit with a 90 day no compete clause. Much like others who have been wanting out of WWE, Itami was unhappy with the creative direction of his character. Itami has been wrestling on 205 Live for a little over a year after a long run in NXT. The developmental time didn’t go well, as he missed the better part of a year with various injuries.
THANK YOU.

This suddenly means something more. Check out what might be Itami’s last WWE match:
Opinion: I haven’t been the biggest Itami fan and I can’t say I’m surprised by him wanting to leave. He hasn’t done much of note since he debuted on the main roster with the constant shouting of RESPECT ME not exactly being all that effective. Hopefully Itami gets to go where he wants and be more successful, as it would never be a good thing to have him sitting there miserable and not being used in WWE.
What did you think of Itami? Where do you think he’ll go? Let us know in the comments below.
