Not again. You never know when you are going to see someone get hurt in wrestling. Unfortunately there is no way around the injury bug and it can cause a lot of problems for a lot of people. Some injuries are worse than others and there are some wrestlers who get hurt a lot more often than others as well. This time around, it is a combination of both and it’s not good news.

There are very few wrestlers who are on Rey Mysterio’s level and even fewer who are more successful. Mysterio is probably the most successful luchador and cruiserweight of all time and is still doing fine in the ring even in his mid 40s. If there is one knock against him over his career though, it is a bad history of injuries. Unfortunately, that list seems to have another entry.

This week on Monday Night Raw, it was announced that Mysterio has suffered a torn tricep during Payback when he teamed with his son Dominik Mysterio to defeat Seth Rollins and Murphy. The injury forced Rey out of a scheduled match with Rollins on this week’s Monday Night Raw. There is no word on how long Rey will be out of action, but Edge suffered the same injury in April and is scheduled to miss around eight months.

Not bad for an injured wrestler. Check out the match where Rey was hurt:

Opinion: Gah that’s horrible to hear, as is any time someone is injured. Rey has been around for a very long time now and it is a shame to see him get hurt so often. It isn’t likely that his in-ring career is going to go on all that much longer and seeing him miss this much time would be horrible. That being said, would you be surprised if he never got in the ring again? Going out with a win on pay per view when you team with your son isn’t the worst way to make your exit.

Should Rey wrestle again? How do you view his career? Let us know in the comments below.
