Brothers fight. We’re less than two months away from WrestleMania 35 and things haven’t exactly been set up so far. We know the Universal Title match, but there’s still a lot more than needs to be done. A lot of this is often set up in advance, but things changed so much back in October when Roman Reigns was forced to vacate the Universal Title. Assuming he didn’t vacate the title, what had been on tap?
According to Dave Meltzer on Twitter, the original plans for Reigns at WrestleMania 35 would have been a match against Dean Ambrose. It isn’t clear whether the title would have been on the line or not, as Reigns could have lost the title before the show. Reigns was forced to vacate the title back in October due to leukemia, with Ambrose turning on Shield teammate Seth Rollins later in the night.

The betrayal that started it all. Check out Ambrose finally snapping:
Opinion: This isn’t the biggest surprise in the world as Ambrose had been set up as a major heel for a long time and then they finally pulled the trigger to make everything work. Reigns and Ambrose had fought before at Survivor Series 2016 for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Title but their matches were few and far between. This would have worked well, though they still had some work to do to get there.
