Before we get into all the confirmations, it is worth noting that you can visit the official AEW website and sign up for pre-sale codes by Sunday. Tickets for the general public will then go on sale on February 13.

Off To A Major Start

Slightly before the rally got started, it was confirmed that legendary Mexican promotion AAA would have a partnership with AEW moving forward. They join OWE (Oriental Wrestling Entertainment) as partners for the upstart promotion.

So What Happened?

The rally opened with Sonny Kiss coming out to confirm he will be at Double or Nothing and has officially signed. It was noted that this was the work of CBO Brandi Rhodes.

As part of the aforementioned partnership with AAA, Cody brought out Sammy Guevera. Guevera is the current AAA Cruiserweight Champion and he confirmed he will be working for AEW and will be at Double or Nothing.

Hangman Page would come out and cut a promo before being interrupted by PAC via satellite. PAC cut a promo on Page and teased a match between the two. Page had a few more words to say before he left.

The Young Bucks would come out and reveal, as expected, that the Best Friends would be coming to their promotion. Chuckie T & Trent Beretta came out for a quick promo.

After the Best Friends left, The Young Bucks teased leaving before The Lucha Bros’ music hit. Pentagon Jr. and Fenix made their way to the stage. They attacked and layed The Young Bucks out and said they’ll prove they’re the best tag team in the world.

Brandi Rhodes would come out next. After a quick birthday shout out to her brother Jason, Rhodes got down to business. She revealed that Yuka Sakazaki and Aja Kong will be at Double or Nothing, but couldn’t make it to the rally.

Rhodes wasn’t done there. She announced the signing of Kylie Rae and, soon after, Nyla Rose. The two women had a brief interaction, with Rhodes pulling them apart.

At this point, Excalibur brought out So Cal Uncensored. They revealed that they’ll have an afterparty called “SCU All Night” hosted by themselves following Double or Nothing.

SCU and Excalibur would show a package for OWE and introduce three members of OWE management to the live audience. Of these three men is the legendary Shima, a man Christopher Daniels of SCU is very familiar with. Daniels laid out a 3 vs. 3 challenge for Double or Nothing. Shima and two of OWE’s best vs. SCU.

As the rally appeared to be wrapping up, Kenny Omega was finally confirmed to be joining AEW. In fact, the nameplate for Omega listed him as an Executive Vice President, despite Omega claiming in his speech that he’d signed his contract earlier in the morning.

As Omega prepared to send off the crowd for the night, Chris Jericho made his way down to the stage. He and Omega had a stare off. It resulted in a full-out brawl, as a portion of the staff at poolside was forced to separate the two.

Omega gave his classic end-of-night spill, thanked the fans, and the rally ended.
