It’s better than some wrestling injuries. Wrestling is a dangerous sport and something that can cause a lot of different injuries no matter who you are. There is no way to be completely safe in the ring, no matter how much experience you might have. At some point someone is going to get injured and there isn’t much of a way around it. Other times though, someone is going to get hurt outside the ring and hopefully they are ok.

There is almost no broadcaster in the history of wrestling as famous as Jim Ross. He has been broadcasting for the better part of forty years and is still on air live for two hours every single week on AEW Dynamite. Ross’ time as Monday Night Raw commentator is legendary and it is not surprising that he is in the rare air he is in. That doesn’t make him invincible though and thankfully he is ok after something that happened to him.

Ross sent out a tweet on Monday, showing a picture of two Japanese cooking knives that he received from his daughter as a Christmas present. The photo also includes a lot of blood, with Ross telling a story of stabbing himself with the knives as he unpacked them. Ross cut himself on the finger and stomach but made it clear that he was fine and even found it funny. He also made a joke in response to another fan on Twitter.

This isn’t his best moment. Check out what might be his best:

Opinion: This is a situation where the best thing that can be said is Ross is ok. Yeah it’s something that winds up being more of a joke than anything else, but it could have been rather serious. I did like Ross’ response to the fan’s reply as he couldn’t remember Butcher and Blade’s name on Dynamite. At least he has a sense of humor about the whole thing, which is all you can do in this case.
