That’s a good while. No matter how much of a star a wrestler might be, they can always be taken out by an injury. Unfortunately there is very little that can be done to cause this kind of a problem and it can happen at any time. That was the case earlier this week as a top WWE Superstar was forced onto the injured list and now we know a bit more about what happened.

This week on Monday Night Raw, CM Punk revealed that he had suffered a torn right tricep during the men’s Royal Rumble match. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Punk informed the referees of his injury during the match but managed to finish. Punk tore his left tricep during his time in AEW and underwent surgery to fix the injury. Should he take the same amount of time to heal, he will be out of action until September.
Punk is a star when he is around. Check out his time in WWE, both before and after his return:
Opinion: This is the kind of devastating news that WWE never wants to hear and unfortunately we are now going to be waiting to see where Punk goes from here. At this point in his career, it is hard to fathom that he is going to be able to have a long run in the ring. If nothing else, it must be hard to imagine WWE giving him a serious chance, if nothing else due to the risk of him suffering another injury.
What do you think of Punk’s WWE return? Who do you want to see him face when he gets back in the ring? Let us know in the comments below.
