Oh Dear: Reason Why Austin Theory Missed SmackDown (That Doesn’t Sound Good)

That’s a new one. There are all kinds of physical issues that can cause a wrestler to miss time in the ring and some of them can come out of nowhere. There are certain issues that take place outside of the ring that still need to be dealt with, which can leave a wrestler out of the ring anyway. That seems to be the situation again as a WWE Superstar missed a show due to an odd reason.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Big Time: Important Detail On The Backstage Reaction To This Week’s WWE SmackDown

This week’s SmackDown saw Grayson Waller appear without his partner Austin Theory. According to Fightful Select, Theory was pulled from the show as he woke up with swelling on his face. There is no word on what caused the swelling or how long Theory will be out of action. It was also noted that there is currently no set time for when Waller and Theory will face DIY for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

Opinion: That sounds terrible and hopefully it isn’t anything serious. Anything involving swelling in your face does not seem to be something anyone would want to mess with so keeping Theory off the show is a good idea. It also helps that WWE has a full medical staff to check on whatever might be wrong and I can’t imagine they will let him return to the ring before he is back to full health.
