Drew McIntyre is set to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40. However, according to PWInsider Elite by way of Wrestlinginc.com, sources close to McIntyre say he and WWE have yet to come to terms on a new deal, with McIntyre’s contract expiring shortly after WrestleMania. McIntyre is believed to want to spend more time around his family in Scotland and will be influenced by what is best for his family.

Opinion: This is an interesting situation and now we get to see where things are going. It is almost hard to fathom that McIntyre is going to be near one of the biggest matches at WrestleMania but might not be around just a few weeks later. There is always the chance that McIntyre and WWE alone know what is going on, but at the same time, this is something where we need to see what happens because it could get nuts rather quickly.
What do you think of the situation? Will McIntyre stay with WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
