That’s a relief. You never know how bad things are going to go when you hear about a wrestler having some form of legal issues. They happen to a lot of people, just like they do for people outside of the wrestling world. Some of them are a lot more severe than others and that seemed to be the case in a recent incident. Now though, things are seeming a little bit better.
According to TMZ, Terri Runnels will not face criminal punishment for bringing a gun onto a plane in a backpack. Runnels brought the gun onto a plane in Tampa, Florida, saying that she planned to use it to deal with an armadillo damaging her mother’s property. When she came to the airport, she simply forgot to take the gun out of her bag. The incident could have carried a penalty of five years in prison.
She has experience in the desert. Check out Runnels, Stacy Keibler and Trish Stratus in the desert from a few years back:
Opinion: This could have been a lot worse for Runnels so at least things are turning out well for her. When you look at what happened, it does seem like it was just a mistake that happened one day when she had a lot on her mind. That being said, it doesn’t make things any better and the issue doesn’t just go away because you made a mistake. Runnels got lucky here and that’s not the worst thing in the world.
