It’s a lot of things. AEW has come a very long way, but the company has only been around less than five years. That is not a very long time by comparison to some other promotions and it makes sense that the company would undergo some changes in its formative period. While those changes have been taking place, there are some people who are not happy that they are going down.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, there is “a lot of negativity” in AEW at the moment and it is not due to one reason. One of the reasons is poor ticket sales to both recent and upcoming events, which have left the wrestlers performing in front of small crowds. In addition, there is said to be not enough television time to go around for the company’s large roster. A final issue is the recent firing of head of post-production Kevin Sullivan (no relation to the wrestler) with former WWE and current AEW executive Mike Mansury making the decision. This is seen as another WWE name taking an AEW person’s place.

Opinion: This is where AEW is going to have some issues, as the company is certainly growing and needs to be able to adjust to those changes. That isn’t going to make everyone happy and what matters is how AEW is going to be able to make everything work. It is clear that something needs to be changed, though that has to be balanced with retaining with what is working now.
