Phenomenal: Update On AJ Styles’ WWE Return

Welcome back? There are all kinds of ways for a wrestler to be put on the shelf and some of them can be tied into a storyline. That can pay dividends later, as you can get to see a returning star going straight into a feud when they come back. WWE has been following that idea for years and they are doing it again now that another injured major star may be on the way back.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the current plan is for AJ Styles to make his return this week on SmackDown, though this has not been announced by WWE. Styles’ return was said to be planned for “a few weeks ago” but there was no reference to him. Styles has been out of action since he was attacked by the Bloodline on the September 22 edition of SmackDown.

Opinion: It’s great to have Styles back, as you never want to see someone of his abilities left out of the ring. Styles is one of the most talented wrestlers ever and even this late in his career, he is able to hang with just about anyone. He has a built in feud with the Bloodline and if he has to bring back the Good Brothers to give himself some backup, so be it.
