They’re done. Stables are one of the most common storytelling devices in wrestling as they offer multiple benefits at the same time. In addition to letting multiple wrestlers get together in a common story, they also allow more wrestlers to get television time all at once. However, at some point they are going to break up and now another one has done just that.

This weekend at NXT No Mercy 2023, Joe Gacy declared that his Schism stable was completely done and told Ava, the last remaining member, to go her own way. Gacy went on to say that he needed to find his own way. This comes after the Dyad left the team, with Gacy confirming their departure earlier this month. There is no word on what is next for Gacy and Ava.

Opinion: This is one of those things that had to happen at some point and it might be better for everyone involved. Schism has been around for a long time now and they haven’t been the most successful team. Splitting them up might be the best thing that can happen to them, as they can see what else they can do, which wasn’t going to happen if they kept going with the team.
