It didn’t go well. There have been a lot of changes taking place around WWE in recent weeks and some of them have not been the most positively received. This has included several names being released from the company within the last week or so and some of the names were quite surprising. The surprise came to both fans and fellow wrestlers and it seems the latter are not happy with some of them.

One of the names released from WWE was Mustafa Ali. According to Fightful Select, some NXT wrestlers were unhappy with Ali’s release, as he had been booked to challenge Dominik Mysterio for the North American Title this weekend at No Mercy. There had been reportedly no indication that Ali would be released as of the Tuesday before his Thursday release. The lack of communication between WWE and NXT is said to be causing frustration. There is nothing to suggest that any more cuts are coming anytime soon.

Ali was on a roll. Check out what he had been doing prior to his release:

Opinion: Can you blame them for being upset? If someone who is scheduled to challenge for a title less than two weeks after their release, why should anyone else believe that they are completely safe? That doesn’t exactly present a great look to anyone involved and the lack of communication isn’t much better. There should be a better way to make this work, and the act that it went that badly isn’t a good sign.
